Fujifilm's premium X-E1 compact system camera is awarded a GOLD Award by DPReview

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) is very proud to announce that the FUJIFILM X-E1 has received a prestigious "Gold Award" from dpreview.com. DPReview is one of the world's most popular dedicated enthusiast digital photography websites, with an audience of seven million unique visitors a month.

DPReview commented that the X-E1 was "Good for any application requiring critical image quality — the X-E1 turns out excellent pictures." DPReview went on to conclude that "Fujifilm's recent improvements to focusing, both manual and automatic, make a real difference to performance, the built-in EVF is excellent, and the enthusiast-friendly ergonomics are addictive."

Joining the highly acclaimed X-Pro1 in Fujifilm's premium CSC line-up, the X-E1 is the company's second X series compact system camera and differentiates itself by its smaller body and a built-in flash. It boasts the same 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS Sensor as the X-Pro1, and features a top-class OLED electronic viewfinder. Its fast autofocus speeds, particularly when paired with the FUJINON 18-55 zoom lens (XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS), ensure that the X-E1 is an exciting addition to Fujifilm's CSC range, compatible with FUJINON XF lenses.
